The Next steps of Youth Engagement in Poland

Towards a civic service ?

This event is co-organised by the Collectif for a European Civic Service, Polska Rada Organizacji Młodzieżowych, and Stiftung Zukunft Berlin. It is implemented through the Weimar triangle: with the full support and involvement of Polish, French and German governments which will be represented during this special occasion, and in direct partnership with National Freedom Institute. It will be an occasion to participate in the building of the idea of having a national polish civic service. There will be presented first principles and results of ongoing testing of this volunteering scheme, and the chance to discuss and co-build a potential global Youth policy, you are probably to implement one day. Our objective, at the European level, is to lead towards “an Erasmus of volunteers”, where national civic services complement the European Solidarity Corps and vice versa. We strongly advocate for development of European Solidarity Corps, as well national programs. As such, encouraging the birth of volunteering schemes in every Member State, while connecting and articulating them with the European Solidarity Corps to enable the better exchange of volunteers and create a proper framework of cooperation, is not only announcing a society of engagement but achieving European mobility and the development of skills for all. During this meeting, the topics of Europe, relations between European countries and the upcoming elections are at the heart of the program. The aim is to propose a program of commitment for young European citizens through mobility, volunteering and political involvement through EU 2024 elections.
